The Deadman Stretchy Band kinetic recovery ropeis an essential tool in your recovery arsenal for vehicle-to-vehicle recovery. Unlike a tow strap or the Deadman which uses static fibers (non-stretch), the Stretchy Band is designed with fibers that stretch up to 30% under load,absorbing shock loads and acting like a rubber band to give a little extrayankto the stuck vehicle. This is great forvehicle-to-vehicle recoveries where one vehicle is stuck, butthis stretchy property makes it a bad choicefor towing (we advise you do not).

When deciding which Stretchy Band is best for you, try to match or exceed your vehicle’s gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). This will ensure you’re using a Stretchy Band strong enough to handle your vehiclewhen its ina tight spot. However, if you regularly play with friends a little bigger than you, consider sizing up so you can safely yank them free as well!

Deadman Soft Shackle

The Deadman Soft Shackle is made in the USA and is exceptionally strong. Made with the same materials used in synthetic winch lines, this soft shackle has aminimum breaking strength of 30,000 lbs(in testing, many have held up to 40,000 lbs!).

We prefer to use soft shackles because they’re stronger, safer, lighter, and easier to work with than their metal counterparts. By using soft shackles, we remove more metal from our winching system and thereby lessen the potential for serious harm in the event of a break.

Besides, these shackles match the Deadman’s eyes.

Deadman Ruggedized Soft Shackle

The Deadman RUGGEDShackle is made in the USA and is exceptionally strong andhas a tightly woven protective sheath that makes the shackle very abrasion resistant. Narrower, longer, and with a wider eye than similarrugged shackles, the Deadman RUGGED Shackle has been made to our standards based on real-world usage.

Made with the same materials used in synthetic winch lines, this soft shackle has aminimum breaking strength of 43,500 lbs(WLL is 14,500).

We prefer soft shackles because they’re stronger, safer, lighter, and easier to work with than their metal counterparts. By using soft shackles, we remove more metal from our winching system and thereby lessen the potential for serious harm in the event of a break.
