The front cup holders for Tesla Model S and Model X do their job adequately, but the degree to which the cup holders maintain a stable grip varies with the diameter of the beverage container you place into the cup holder. If the diameter is small, the beverage container can rock inside the cup holder and even spill as a consequence. Thats why EVANNEX has developed a custom-designed, one piece Cup Holder Insert for Tesla Model S and Model X. Made of soft silicon rubber with specialized, flexible interior tabs that gently grab the beverage container, the EVANNEX Cup Holder Insert is a low-profile addition to your cup holder, fabricated to the precise dimensions of the barbell cup holder shape. It is designed to stabilize beverage containers of varying diameters, holding them in place so they dont rock or spill.

We designed the EVANNEX Cup Holder insert to be unobtrusiveconforming to the minimalist design language of the Model S and Model X interior. The insert sits inside the cupholder, well below its upper edge and is therefore barely noticeable. Made of black, soft, and flexible silicone rubber with a waffle base, the cup holder insert provides three protruding tabs inside each cup well. These soft tabs bend to hold a beverage container, stabilizing it inside the cupholder.

Unlike generic cupholder inserts that fit clumsily in one beveragewell only, theEVANNEX Cup Holder insert is a custom design, fitting both cup holder beverage wells and the space between each well.Once installed, the EVANNEX Cup Holder insertbecomes part of the Model S and Model X OEM cupholder.

The thin walls of the EVANNEX Cup Holder Insert are only 0.08 in. (2 mm) thick, enabling you to hold and stabilize all but the very largest beverage containers. Three flexible tabs protrude approximately 0.4 in. (10 mm) into the cupholder, gripping your beverage container and holding it steady.

Because the EVANNEX Cup Holder Insert has a closed bottom, it will catch the inevitable drops and splashes that occur as beverage containers are placed into the cup holder. It can be removed easily, cleaned, and then replaced.

Is it easy to install and remove the EVANNEX Cup Holder Insert?

Yes. The cup holder insert is pressed into place and can be easily removed by pulling it out of the OEM cup holder. No tools, adhesives, or mechanical fasteners are required.

Is an adhesive or fastener used to hold theEVANNEX Cup Holder Insert in place?

No. The soft silicone surface of the Cup Holder Insert provides good adhesion to the side walls of the OEM cup holder. No adhesives or fasteners are necessary.

Why is the EVANNEX Cup Holder Insert only half the height of the OEM cupholder?

We considered a variety of height options when we designed the insert and decided that the half-height was the best compromise for aesthetics and holding ability.

What is the purpose of the flexible tabs?

The tabs are designed to allow the cup holder insert to accommodate a variety of different beverage container diameters and hold each securely.

When placed inside the Tesla Model S or Model X cup holder, will the EVANNEX Cup Holder Insert reduce the maximum effective beverage container diameter that the cupholder can accommodate?

Yes, but only slightly. The insert will reduce the effective diameter by approximately 0.15 in (~4mm).

Will the EVANNEX Cup Holder Insert pull out when I remove my beverage container?

In general, the insert will remain in place. However, if the beverage container has a large diameter or if the surface of the container is rough, the insert may pull out when you remove the container. It can be reinserted easily.

If I spill liquid, will it be contained within the insert, or will it leak into the OEM Cup Holder?

In most cases, the liquid should be contained within the cup holder insert, protecting your OEM cup holder from damage.

Installation of the EVANNEX Cup Holder Insert

Installation of the EVANNEX Cup Holder Insert is simple and requires no tools and no adhesives or fasteners of any kind.

1. Place the EVANNEX Cup Holder Insert into the Model S or Model X cup holder, aligning the barbell shape of the insert with the barbell shape of the OEM cup holder.

1. Press downward on the base of the EVANNEX Cup Holder Insert until the base touches the floor and “seats” atthe bottom of the OEM cup holder.

Installation is complete.

NOTE: The height of the EVANNEX Cup Holder Insert has been designed to sit low in the OEM cup holder. Therefore, the top edge of the EVANNEX Cup Holder Insert will be approximately 0.75 in (19mm) below the top edge of the OEM cupholder.
