Beefy clamping jaws are wide enough to grip spring coils securely. Spring-loaded locking pins in each clamping hook lock them against the coils so they cannot slip off or turn sideways.

The large heavy duty compression screw opens the clamping jaws to 300 mm (11.8 inches), and may be turned by hand or spun with an impact gun.
